Is friendship really an illusion? Anne is tired of loneliness and wishes for a big birthday. So she explores old and new friendships in this tragicomic documentary about the desire to belong somewhere.

Anne's friends have run out, or so it seems. She used to hang out a lot with her close-knit club of friends; these days she often sits at home alone. Now that she's turned 32, she realizes it's time for a change. Determined to celebrate her birthday lavishly this year, she embarks on a search for connection in this documentary. Anne examines her current and watered-down friendships of yesteryear as she actively works to expand her social circle.
